Project Description

Contest dedicated to the films on robotics with a view of the works in competition and the subsequent screening of a film with a theme related to the world of robotics in its various aspects.

The award ceremony was held on September 11th , after the screening of the film masterpiece by Fritz Lang, Metropolis, whose live soundtrack was performed by Doady Giugliano.

The winner of the first Robot Film Festival Contest was “Illusia” by Ramona Gastl (Germany, 2017: the short film, centered on the figure of a Siberian puppeteer, takes us behind the scenes to find the answer to the question of how loneliness and freedom are connected).

The other prizes: best screenplay and photography for “Ferruccio. Storia di un robottino” (baby robot story), by Stefano De Felice; best soundtrack to “Jazz It Up!” by Sara Cosentino; best editing at “Thymio meets ECAL” by Alain Bellett; best director at Ramona Gastl.
