Wearables: monitoring everyday life physiology and health

Wearable sensors capable of monitoring physiological parameters hit the consumer market over the last 5 years, opening unprecedented opportunities for big data physiological data collection (motion, EKG, etc.) as well as for personalized continuous real-time data acquisition in patients and healthy subjects.

In this event, we will discuss the opportunity granted by the wide diffusion of wearable devices in quantifying health and behavior, paving the way to a radically new horizon in medicine and telemedicine. Moreover, this event will highlight how Pisa represents a very fertile environment in technology transfer of academic knowledge to spinoff companies
